Udu APC Media Team Visits Delta APC Spokesman, Backs Oborevwori, Others

The APC Social Media Team in Udu Local Government Area on Thursday, April 2, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Delta State Publicity Secretary, Barr. Ebata Valentine Onojeghuo, at his office in Udu.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Udu APC Publicity Secretary, Chief Omoko Vincent, congratulated Onojeghuo on his emergence as the party’s image maker at the state level, describing it as a milestone for Udu, noting that it is the first time the local government is occupying such a strategic position in the history of the party in Delta State.

He expressed the team’s excitement and pride, emphasizing the need for greater inclusion of Udu media practitioners in the state media structure. According to him, despite their longstanding contributions to the party’s media efforts, members of the Udu social media team had previously been sidelined.

Chief Omoko also briefed the Publicity Secretary on recent developments within the Udu APC media structure, particularly the dissolution of the Electoral Committee following identified irregularities. He explained that the decision was taken to ensure transparency and prevent opposition influence within party structures.

He, however, disclosed that all lingering issues had been amicably resolved after consultations with key stakeholders, including the former Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Kingsley Omokaro. As part of the resolution, an Acting Coordinator and Acting Secretary have been put in place, while efforts are ongoing to ensure broader inclusiveness and harmony within the team.

On his part, Barr. Ebata Valentine Onojeghuo commended the delegation for their passion, unity, and commitment to the growth of the party. He described social media as a powerful political tool capable of shaping public opinion and influencing outcomes, noting that the Udu APC media structure stands out as one of the most vibrant in the country.

He urged members to sustain the unity achieved, stressing that there should be no distinction between old and new members within the party. According to him, the greatest threat to the party is not disunity but complacency, warning that members must remain vigilant and proactive in mobilizing support at the grassroots.

Onojeghuo further charged the team to intensify efforts in promoting the achievements of both the state and federal governments, noting that governance performance remains a strong campaign asset.

The highlight of the visit was the passing of a vote of confidence on Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Delta State APC Publicity Secretary.

The motion was moved by the Acting Coordinator of the Udu APC Social Media Team, Ambassador Felix Okovwurie and seconded by Comrade Romeo Olokpa. The duo commended Governor Oborevwori for his infrastructural development strides across the state.

The visit ended on a note of unity and renewed commitment by the Udu APC Social Media Team to strengthen the party’s communication strategy and grassroots engagement.
